2014/15 total = £224 900 2015/16 total = £231 400 The school invested pupil premium money in full-time permanent additional teaching staff in Years FS, 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 and in full-time well qualified teaching assistants allocated to every class. All TAs will be fully trained in the (Read, Write Incorporated) RWI programme. TAs in KS 2 are deployed routinely for 1:1 reading conferences and for core subject mentoring.
Improved attitudes to learning and increased engagement of pupils Increased frequency of interactions between teachers, teaching assistants and pupils. Increased opportunities for children to listen to, to speak and read English. Accelerated learning across the core and wider curriculum. Very good induction procedures. FSM children and non-FSM children achieving at and above national norms in Reading, Writing and Mathematics despite high levels of pupil mobility (One third of the 2014/15 year 6 cohort joined after beginning of year 4. Ten of the year 6 cohort joined during 2014/15)
